I have an A.S. in Broadcasting from Northeast State Community College and am currently studying to achieve my B.S. in Video and Film Production with a minor in Interactive Media.
In the future all of humanity will take a new step in human evolution with the assistance of bio modifications and artificial intelligence. Humans will become intellectually and physically superior then those of today. Everything from bionic eyes that increase the user’s eyesight to modified limbs that provide the user with extreme strength will be available through a Biologically Modified Human operating system. These are known as BMH systems.
Current Bio-Tech modifications being developed.
All BMHs have the ability to connect to the internet via wifi or direct cable connection. The average BMH will also have an advanced Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) system allowing for a mobile integrated super computer. The BMH will all be controlled using brain-interface as well. By will alone can the user simply just think about a topic, access the internet. and quickly find any online content.
Brain-Interface hat connected to a computer.
The user’s bionic eyes provide images of the online content. If the user’s BMH does not have bionic eyes, glasses may be worn instead to view content online. In the past people will have moved away from a browse and click form of using the internet . In the future it will be a think and consume form of content. This is not to say that the traditional desktop computer will be eradicated, but society will primarily operate via BMH systems. In the future all people who have BMH systems will view Facebook just with a thought. They don’t log on traditionally, but instead use brainwaves to access Facebook. For example, instead of me going to my phone or computer to log into Facebook, I simply think it and I log in. Facebook will connect with my BMH system and instantly recognize me. If I want to search for a member of Facebook named John Hancock, I simply will just think search John Hancock. If you’re not at your computer or phone and want to watch Youtube.com, the solution lies with the BMH system. Think search Youtube.com and instantly Youtube.com content will arrive. This is the direction that online culture and content will go.
What is Dr. Enuf? This is a question often asked by people who come in contact with Dr. Enuf’s products that are not native to East Tennessee. The answer to that question is long and full of history. And while the beverage may not be a national one and its notoriety may be only regional, almost every time a person goes to a gas station or grocery story in the United States they see products which Dr. Enuf influenced. It all started in 1949.
The History of Dr. Enuf
Dr. Enuf ad in Bottler’s Gazette
Bill Swartz was the man responsible for formulating the Dr. Enuf recipe. It would not be long before friends, co-workers, and general members of the community. At first it was a rare drink that was not massed produced considering the population of the Tri-Cities area. But it would not be long before that production would increase. Bill Swartz made a business deal with the owner of Tri-Cities Beverage Corporation and production increased exponentially. With the increase in production, so also was there an increase in demand. Due to the fact that Dr. Enuf was and is a regional drink,
East Tennessean’s Reviews of Dr. Enuf
East Tennesseans adopted it as a symbol of pride and heritage.
Nathanael McMahan (center)
One East Tennesseean from Morristown Tennessee named Nathanael McMahan said this: “All East Tennesseans know the drink. Whenever I’m sick or tired I always can depend on Dr. Enuf. It is probably one of the most bitchin’ drinks I have ever had.” Nathanael McMahan was not the only East Tennessean that had a comment to make about Dr. Enuf.
Brad Eastridge (behind the pug)
Brad Eastridge resident of Johnson City, Tennessee said this: “Dr. Enuf? What do I think of Dr. Enuf? It is many things. It’s a symbol of East Tennessee, a cure for all that is bad, and probably one of the most tasty beverages that exist today. And when I say it’s probably one of the most tasty beverages, what I mean is it most definitely is the greatest tasting beverage. Two testimonies from East Tennesseans both show high favorability with the drink. But what about the influence of Dr. Enuf on drinks that are sold internationally and not just regionally like Dr. Enuf?
1950s Mountain Dew Advertisement
It all started on a train where two brothers Barney and Alley Hartman met Charles Schwartz the founder of Dr. Enuf. The Hartman brothers had created Mountain Dew as a drink mixer and was having trouble bottling it. Upon meeting Charles Schwartz on a train and letting Schwartz try the mixer, a business deal was where the drink would be bottled along side and closely incorporated to Mountain Dew. Mountain Dew would be eventually would be bought out by PepsiCo. So whenever a person walks into a store and sees a Mountain Dew product, they should know how much of an influence that Dr. Enuf had on the drink.

While Dr. Enuf is a regional drink it is still enjoyed by Americans worldwide. Dr. Enuf has been known to send the drink to soldiers in mass. One example of a soldier drinking Dr. Enuf is Cpl. Brandon Brewer as seen above.
WHAT I LOOK LIKE AFTER I CONSUME DR. ENUF
My opinion of Dr. Enuf is a positive one. I appreciate Dr. Enuf in mainly two ways. The first way is the cultural/historical form of the drink. East Tennesseans are a very proud people and when something native like Dr. Enuf is born from the region they adopt it as part of their culture.
Historic Tweetsie Railroad now made trail.
The second thing that I enjoy about Dr. Enuf is the taste. While some small time regional beverages may taste subpar, which of course is why they stay regional most of the time, Dr. Enuf has a refreshingly good taste. It is an energy drink that is not overwhelming powerful and allows for a comfortable relaxing stimulant instead of something that resembles a energy drink where the consumer of the drink appears as if they have done too much cocaine. Dr. Enuf is definitely in my mind one of the best drinks in the world.
It is healthy for a critical thinker to be familiar with what is known as the 21st Century Literacies. This is especially true for those that are involved in social media. These literacies are: Attention, Participation, Collaboration, Network awareness, and Critical Consumption. When the content creator of a social media page can understand and master these literacies the more attractive alluring that content creator’s page’s will be. One of the most key literacies in creating a great social media website is participation. The degree of consumer participation blossoms from the amount of participation/engagement capabilities that each site is using
Let’s use the most common of examples, Facebook. Imagine two identical hypothetical businesses. Each are the same in every form: same location, same products, etc. There is only one difference, their social media sites. Business 1 creates a Facebook page that has very little content, most importantly in our case, no links clicks or games to interact with. Unlike Business 1, Business 2 does have a Facebook page that has participatory content. Small little click games or links allow for customer engagement.
Now that we have identified the difference between Business 1 and Business 2, let’s analyze the likelihood of each businesses increase in profits compared to each other. The most likely result is that, Business 2 will see an increase of profits while Business 1 would not. Ultimately it was the level of Participation/Engagement that determined the results of profit increase. Business 1’s social media page allowed for deep engagement of those visiting the site. The more people can participate/engage with the site are not only being constantly bombarded with name brand awareness in advertisements, but also develop an emotional attachment to the site. Business 2 on the other hand had no profit increase. This is because Business 2 had a social media site that used no participation/engagement abilities. Potential customers that view Business 2’s social media page are more likely to view the page and quickly move on to another leaving little time for exposure of advertisements. But when it comes to potential customers viewing Business 1’s social media page, they are more likely that person is to stay on the page longer. The longer a person is exposed to advertising, the more that person becomes likely to become a customer. Business 2’s social media page exposed constantly advertisements to the person participating/engaging with the page. These advertisements conveyed the message to the visitor of the site that the product was of great value and that the customer should buy it. This concept of advertising through participation/engagement is why Business 1 increased its profits. Rheingold’s 21st Century Literacy idea of participation has helped to morph the economy. Different companies have realized the benefits of social media pages and also the benefits of implementing participatory/engaging capabilities.
These companies see their profits increase greatly. It is not rare for some companies to create a whole division dedicated towards the companies social media page. These major companioning using the participation/engagement techniques will continue to see a very great rise in profits.
Liberals leave logic at door with heartfelt justifications for not deporting illegal immigrants.
One of the problems in America today is the issue of illegal immigration. As time has gone by, a growing polarization between two types of Americans and their ideologies regarding illegal immigration have emerged. The first group of people mainly conservative Americans share the belief that there are over 12 million illegal aliensliving in the United States that contribute to crime and are an economic burden on America. The second group of people tend to believe a leftist/liberal ideology, as opposed to classic liberalism, ideology belief that there are over 12 million undocumented immigrantsliving in America. The liberals refuse to use the label illegal immigrant because of their belief that the term disenfranchises millions of people and leads to systemic racism and xenophobia. It is the classic hearts versus logic debate.
Damaging assumptions and talking points about illegal aliens are often espoused by the liberals on why illegals should be allowed to come across the border illegally. For instance, there is a common statement used by the liberals that “Most of these people are just coming here for work and a better life.” This is an inaccurate statement to make. First of all, who are “these people”? Second, how can an individual speak for the motivations and actions of over 12 million undocumented illegal immigrants.
People protesting the immigration policies of Trump Administration
The liberal feel good argument, which is not a logical argument at all, does not help to fix the problem of illegal immigration, but instead, enables it. It sends a message of, ‘Hey come over to this country. Do not worry about going through the process legally to become a citizen. You are wanted here, you will be loved, and we will make sure you are comfortable and are taken care of.’. That ideology violates the right of self-determination for the natives and legal immigrants of the United States of America. Now let’s take a look at the more conservative and logical view of illegal immigration.
When I talk about conservative views let me identify who I’m talking about. I’m not talking about rednecks with a race motivated hatred for illegal immigrants. A type of, “Go back to Mexico you,” followed by a racial slur. Nor am I talking about the conservative who believes in American exceptionalism with the idea that America is inherently better than any other nation. No, the conservatives that I am talking about care about the numbers. They look at rates of crime, unemployment, and the economic burden imposed upon America by illegal immigration.
Let’s take a look at a few examples starting with crime. The New York Post, a news organization known for its left leaning bias, published an article stating that about 4.5 million illegal immigrants drive illegally, without a license, insurance, or in some cases are even driving without being able to read the traffic signs. That is over 20% of illegal immigrants committing crime. But it gets much worse.
A much darker statistic is one that the Center for Immigration studies published. Around 23% of illegal aliens found to be convicted of violent crimes prominently including, drug offences, assault, and sexual assault. Of those illegal aliens that have been prosecuted it has inflicted “thousands to millions in cost per alien on the system”. This statistic alone shows the factual flaw of the feel good statement that undocumented workers are mainly just coming here for a better life and work. Now let us take a look at the economic burden of illegal immigration on Americans.

FAIR’s study of the cost of illegal immigration. FAIR’s Analysis
FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform) added up the Federal Cost in addition to state and local cost of illegal immigrations and that total for year 2000 is $134,863,455,364. Total tax contributions of illegal aliens total out at $18,968,857,700 leaving a whopping $115,894,597,664 that Americans are paying for illegal immigrants. This statistic alone should show that there is a financial burden on Americans which is simply unjust, and not fair. All of these statistics and facts should illuminate the reader to the problems of illegal immigration. How long will it take before extreme reform happens? It won’t be long until a violent culture clash will erupt if nothing changes in our system.

Hello everybody. My name is Nathaniel Vaughan Muncie. I am 31 years old and from East Tennessee, Johnson City to be more specific. I have an A.S. in Broadcasting and am working to achieve my B.S. in Video and Film Production. My minor is Interactive Media. I went to Science Hill High School where I was in the marching band. In fact, the first time I ever visited MTSU was for a marching band competition. If you were to tell me back in those days that I would be later going to school at MTSU I most likely would not have believed you. I don’t regret the decision at all to attend MTSU.

When it comes to tidbits about my life here are a few things that I like and why. I love the Dune anthology. The books often talk about theology, philosophy, politics, romance and the evolution of them in society.
I like pizza and fast food but I got fat eating them. It all started in the Student Union. I would be studying and there was Panda Express always there to take the edge off. And then there was Dominos pizza always delivering to my door. I went back home and all my friends started busting on me for getting a gut. Conversations would go, “Look Nathaniel, you have a bigger gut than me!” “Think so?” And they would reply, “Know so.” A bit of body shaming works I guess. I’m in the gym everyday now running, rowing, and biking. I plan on getting svelt, cut, and ripped.
What I plan on looking like.
It is my belief that in order to grow as a person intellectually it is necessary for one to eventually leave their home of origin. Leaving Johnson City, TN to come to Murfreesboro for school has allowed me to do that. I once was taking an African-American studies course where I met a Dr. Charleton as a teacher. One of the main ideas focused on in that course were goals. He showed me how to achieve them without being overwhelmed and from then on I was able to formulate a plan that included a series of goals which has so far been successful. My plan was to graduate from Northeast State Community College with an A.S. in Broadcasting-goal achieved. The next step in my plan was to move to Murfreesboro and attend MTSU-goal achieved. Now the next goal in my plan is to graduate from MTSU with a B.S. in Video and Film Production, which is a goal nearly accomplished. By setting somewhat tiny goals and achieving them one right after another eventually before you know it allows you to accomplish all the major goals of your life.
