About Me
Hello everybody. My name is Nathaniel Vaughan Muncie. I am 31 years old and from East Tennessee, Johnson City to be more specific. I have an A.S. in Broadcasting and am working to achieve my B.S. in Video and Film Production. My minor is Interactive Media. I went to Science Hill High School where I was in the marching band. In fact, the first time I ever visited MTSU was for a marching band competition. If you were to tell me back in those days that I would be later going to school at MTSU I most likely would not have believed you. I don’t regret the decision at all to attend MTSU.

When it comes to tidbits about my life here are a few things that I like and why. I love the Dune anthology. The books often talk about theology, philosophy, politics, romance and the evolution of them in society.

I like pizza and fast food but I got fat eating them. It all started in the Student Union. I would be studying and there was Panda Express always there to take the edge off. And then there was Dominos pizza always delivering to my door. I went back home and all my friends started busting on me for getting a gut. Conversations would go, “Look Nathaniel, you have a bigger gut than me!” “Think so?” And they would reply, “Know so.” A bit of body shaming works I guess. I’m in the gym everyday now running, rowing, and biking. I plan on getting svelt, cut, and ripped.

It is my belief that in order to grow as a person intellectually it is necessary for one to eventually leave their home of origin. Leaving Johnson City, TN to come to Murfreesboro for school has allowed me to do that. I once was taking an African-American studies course where I met a Dr. Charleton as a teacher. One of the main ideas focused on in that course were goals. He showed me how to achieve them without being overwhelmed and from then on I was able to formulate a plan that included a series of goals which has so far been successful. My plan was to graduate from Northeast State Community College with an A.S. in Broadcasting-goal achieved. The next step in my plan was to move to Murfreesboro and attend MTSU-goal achieved. Now the next goal in my plan is to graduate from MTSU with a B.S. in Video and Film Production, which is a goal nearly accomplished. By setting somewhat tiny goals and achieving them one right after another eventually before you know it allows you to accomplish all the major goals of your life.
